Training ALEX: Training a horse is really, first, has to be determined by what type of breed you have, what type of discipline you want to ride, and what kind of competition. Obviously, training a race horse, is really completely opposite of training a roping horse or a barrel horse or hunter and jumper. So, there’s a lot of things that go into determining the daily exercise, weekly exercise, regimen, depending on what you wanna do with it. And that’s, you know, a lot of times comes into play of working with a trainer and understanding what has to go into getting a good foundation under your horse. Because fitness is key in a lot of disciplines so that, if they’re prepared the right way then, they can sustain through these competition levels and not get injured. So, its very important to have a good foundation under your horse.
